JEE is a national-level entrance exam in India for admission into top engineering colleges like:

IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology)

NITs (National Institutes of Technology)

IIITs and other government colleges

🔷 Types of JEE

JEE has 2 stages:

1️⃣ JEE Main

Conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency)

Entry for:

NITs, IIITs, GFTIs

Qualification for JEE Advanced

📌 Happens 2 times a year (Jan & April)

2️⃣ JEE Advanced

Only for top students who qualify JEE Main

For admission into IITs

Conducted by one of the IITs

🔷 Eligibility

📘 JEE Main:

Must pass 12th (PCM: Physics, Chemistry, Maths)

Can attempt 3 years (6 attempts)

📘 JEE Advanced:

Must qualify JEE Main (top ~2.5 lakh students)

Only 2 attempts in consecutive years

Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths

Mode: Computer-based

Questions: MCQs + Numerical

Total Marks: 300

📝 JEE Advanced:

Tougher than Main

Questions vary (MCQ, integer, match type)
